Vertical Foot Reflexology (VRT) workshop

Suzy Jacops

Discover the unique Vertical Reflex Technique (VRT) - an innovative reflexology method that works quickly, deeply and efficiently.

For whom: This workshop is ideal for reflexologists, therapists and anyone who wants to deepen their knowledge of energetic balance and reflex zones, in order to guide clients even better.

Get inspired by the power of Vertical Reflexology and discover how this quick reflexology method, can bring big changes in your client's energy.

Theme: Energy disruption
Does your client sometimes feel that energy is not flowing well? That he or she is easily exhausted, irritable or struggling to regain balance?

During this practical workshop, you will learn how Vertical Reflexology (VRT) helps to recognise and repair energy blockages in your client.

What to expect:
MAXIMUM RESULTS IN LESS TIME

During this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to stimulate reflex zones on the tops of the feet while the client is standing or sitting up.
This vertical approach powerfully activates the nervous system and often produces noticeable changes in the body within minutes.
- Introduction on energy disruption and how it can manifest in your client's body and mind
- Demonstration of specific VRT techniques that help restore energy flow
- Application to the foot in weight-bearing position (standing or sitting VRT)
- Practice in pairs with instant relaxation and palpable energy flow

Suzy Jacops

Reflexology teacher

Please allow me to introduce myself:
In 1998, I took a basic course in relaxation massage through the feet. The effect of this massage was a revelation to me. It amazed me how deep the relaxation went and how long this feeling lasted. This experience aroused my curiosity - what else could foot reflexology bring about? Thus began my journey into this fascinating world.

In 2000, I started my own practice as a qualified foot reflexologist. I am particularly proud to have still been personally taught by Dwight Byers, the founder of modern foot reflexology. He taught at the International Institute of Reflexology, founded by his niece Eunice Ingham, who put foot reflexology on the map worldwide.

Over the years, I have continued to study various forms and treatment methods within reflexology. This allows me to tailor each treatment to the client's specific needs - because every person is unique.

A major turning point in my career was my training with Lynne Booth in England, where I specialised in Vertical Foot Reflexology (VRT). After obtaining my Teacher Degree, I have since been teaching Vertical Foot Reflexology exclusively for her in Belgium and the Netherlands. This technique is particularly effective for sports injuries, mobility problems and digestive complaints, among others.

I also obtained a diploma in Nerve Reflexology and Manual Neurotherapy from Nico Pauly, which I often apply to back, hip, neck and shoulder complaints. With my knowledge of Chinese Foot Reflexology, I also work on the meridians and acupressure points of the legs and feet - an approach that is especially beneficial for stress and digestive problems.

A special place in my heart holds Oncoreflexology. This form of treatment is designed for people facing cancer. For seven years, I offered this gentle, supportive foot reflexology massage as a volunteer at a drop-in centre for cancer patients. The treatment can bring relief from side effects of chemo- and radiotherapy, and helps to improve quality of life at any stage of the disease.

I also use Auriculotherapy (ear reflexology) for a variety of complaints such as tension, anxiety, sleep problems, allergies, digestive problems, orthopaedic complaints and when quitting smoking.

For more than 15 years, I have been teaching foot, hand and ear reflexology at the Wellness Academy in Belgium and the Netherlands (www.wellnessacademie.com). Through the Belgian Massage Federation (BMF), I also teach courses in oncore reflexology (www.massagefed.be). For British reflexologist Lynne Booth, I am an accredited lecturer in VRT - Vertical Foot Reflexology in Belgium and the Netherlands (www.boothvrt.com).

Besides reflexology, I also offer a wide range of relaxation and therapeutic body massages, which complement my reflexology approach nicely. Some of my specialities include Chinese Tui-Na massage and Balinese massage.

“Lifelong learning” is my motto. I successfully completed the two-year training course Orthomolecular Therapist at the ICZO. With this knowledge, I can support my clients with nutrition and supplementation advice to further improve their well-being.
