BeVo processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide these data to us yourself. Below you will find an overview of the personal data we process:

However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in their children's online activities to avoid collecting data on children without parental consent. For what purpose and on what basis we process personal data
BeVo processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- Handling your payment
- Sending our newsletter and/or magazine
- To call or e-mail you if necessary to perform our services
- To inform you of changes to legislation and/or our services/events
- To deliver goods to you, such as a wall plaque and the annual sticker
- BeVo also processes personal data if we are legally obliged to do so, such as data we need for our tax return
The data will be stored on a secure cloud or that of a third party. We will not combine this data with other personal data in our possession. We do not collect or use information for purposes other than those described in this privacy policy unless we have obtained your prior consent.

BeVo uses only technical and functional cookies. And analytical cookies that do not invade your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone the first time you visit this website. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical operation of the website and your ease of use. They ensure that the website works properly and, for example, remember your preferences. They also allow us to optimise our website. You can opt out of cookies by configuring your internet browser to stop storing cookies. You can also delete any information previously stored via your browser settings.
View, modify or delete data
In addition, you have the right to withdraw your possible consent to data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by BeVo and you have the right to data portability. This means you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold on you in a computer file to you or another organisation named by you.
If you wish to exercise your right of objection and/or right to data portability or have other questions/comments on data processing, please send an itemised request to voorzitter@bevo-belgie.org. To make sure that the request for inspection is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity along with the request. Black out your passport number and national registration number in this copy. This is to protect your privacy. BeVo will respond to your request as soon as possible, but in any case within four weeks.
We may refuse to process such requests that are unreasonably repetitive or systematic, require excessive technical effort, jeopardise the privacy of others or are practically virtually impracticable or do not normally require access. In all cases where we allow access and correction of data, we perform this service free of charge.

At the bottom of each mailing you will find the option to edit your details or to unsubscribe.
How we secure personal data
BeVo takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to counter abuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification. This includes internal controls of our policies and security measures related to data collection, storage and processing, including proper encryption and physical security measures as protection against unauthorised access to systems on which we store personal data.
We restrict access to personal data to BeVo employees who need it to process data for us. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to disciplinary action, including dismissal and prosecution, if they fail to comply with these obligations.
